Kara decided in 2000 to leave the world of corporate life as a chemist assistant and persue her life long dream of owning a studio for children. After years of teaching art on the side and ocassionaly in the Middleboro school system as a substitute, she created Art on the Spot studio and opened it's doors
finally in Fall, 2001. Shortly after, Kara expanded the buisness with an old love of
body adornment, namely Henna (Mendhi) and Face painting, which she worked
with during her years studying Anthropology at BSC (92’-98’) and also in previous
years at schools and town festivals (since 89’). Now as a Multi-award winning artist
She has rekindled the love by traveling internationally to further educate
herself and compete in this beloved art. As of 2009 Kara is now also teaching at international conferences around the U.S.
Kara brings over 20 years of experience and a worldly, child-like spirit to her teaching and entertainment .
